WHO I AM

My name is Elaine Brown and I am a qualified Aromatherapist and Complementary Therapist. I am a member of the Complementary Medical Association, and I also hold an Advanced DBS Certificate which allows me to work with children and vulnerable adults.

I am very much a people person, and it gives me an immense amount of satisfaction to offer a skill that can improve the lifestyle and well-being of others. Everyone is unique, and every person's needs are different. I therefore tailor every treatment to each client's individual requirements. i take into account any areas of concern, current medications, health issues, and allergies. I also enquire into any conditions and medications prior to their appointment and advise them accordingly. I can then perform a well-informed treatment knowing that I will leave my client feeling lifted and invigorated and looking forward to a good night's sleep.

WHAT I DO

Aromatherapy massage

90 minutes £85, 1hour £55, ½ hour £35.

Aromatherapy is an ancient art in which oils distilled from plants and trees are used to alleviate various physical or mental conditions. The massage itself is very gentle and will incorporate elements of Reiki as I work. The oils are encouraged through the skin and into the bloodstream, where they travel around the body and work where they are needed.

Ayurvedic Head Massage ½ hour £35

Ayurvedic head massage is a therapeutic treatment that has been practiced in India for 5000+ years. It involves a variety of pressure techniques, including circular massage strokes that focus on the Marma points of the head, shoulders, and neck. It relieves anxiety and stress, aids in the release of endorphins (hormones which make you feel happy), stimulates hair growth and scalp health, helps with insomnia and headaches, and brings balance to your body and mind.

Arthritis/Rheumatism Relief ½ hour £35

Using carefully chosen and blended essential oils, this massage works on the surrounding tissue rather than the painful joints themselves to stimulate blood flow and the production of synovial fluid. The oils can alleviate pain for a time, allowing exercise to be performed, which will further stimulate blood flow to the joints. Lifestyle advice is given, along with recommendations for suitable exercise to improve the condition.

Gua Sha Facial Massage ½ hour £40

This massage is performed using a Jade Gua Sha tool and a Jade roller. After cleansing the face and applying fragrant oils, the tool is run over the face to gently encourage lymphatic drainage and blood flow. The Jade roller is used to finish off the massage, particularly the sensitive area around the eyes. The massage leaves the skin feeling fresh and stimulated.

Remedial Pedicure £35 (45 minutes approx.)

This falls somewhere between a salon pedicure and a podiatrist treatment. This is aimed at people who cannot attend to their own feet or prefer not to. The treatment consists of trim/shape, cuticle work,
smoothing rough skin and application of foot cream.

Facial Massage 35 minutes £35

Using Ayurvedic and Gua Sha techniques, this massage encourages blood flow and lymphatic drainage leaving the face smooth, plumped and glowing. A truly relaxing experience.
